School Improvement Plan

SMARTIE Goal #1 (MATH)

By the end of the 2025-26 school year, we will increase the percentage of students passing the SBA in math from 24% to 50%.  We will also increase the percentage of students meeting their annual iReady stretch growth in math from 28% to 50% for all students, with specific targets for Special Education students (28% to 60%), Multilingual Learners (22% to 52%), and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander students (19% to 50%). Progress will be monitored monthly through iReady diagnostics and math journey progression, with a mid-year target of 80% of students meeting their annual typical growth as an indicator of successful progression toward stretch growth goals.

SMARTIE Goal #2 (ELA)

By the end of the 2025-26 school year, we will increase the percentage of students passing the ELA SBA from 40% to 70%.  We will increase the percentage of students meeting their annual iReady stretch growth in reading from 12% to 40% across all students, including Special Education (13% to 40%), Multilingual Learners (12% to 40%), and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander students (10% to 40%). Monthly progress monitoring will utilize iReady diagnostics and district-approved intervention assessments, with a mid-year target of 80% of students meeting their annual typical growth on the iReady diagnostic as an indicator of successful progression toward stretch growth goals.

SMARTIE Goal #3 (Attendance)

By the end of the 2025-26 school year, we will increase the percentage of students maintaining 90% or higher attendance from 47% to 77% for all students, with specific targets for Multilingual Learners (38% to 68%), Special Education students (29% to 59%), and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander students (29% to 59%). Progress will be monitored monthly through Hoonuit attendance tracking system, with success indicated by maintaining steady attendance rates at or above 90% by mid-year for targeted student groups.
